Assessment before polishing

Brightwork can show oxidation, staining, scratches, pitting and previous polishing marks. The condition and metal type determine the appropriate process and what finish is achievable.

We inspect the surface, discuss the customer’s expectations and identify any limitations before selecting a polishing approach. Deep corrosion, pitting or material damage can limit how much clarity and reflectivity can be restored.

Aircraft-specific metal polishing

Our brightwork work may include leading edges, engine inlets, window retainers, thrust reversers and other exterior metal surfaces. We use a staged process appropriate to the surface and finish, with care around adjacent paint, windows and aircraft components.

After restoration, Xzilon protection is available as a separate service to help protect the finished brightwork and simplify ongoing care.
